On the evening of January 26, in the cozy hall of the Ketelhuis in Amsterdam, we, the members of Gamelan Group Jiwa Manunggal, experienced a milestone that merged our hearts with those of our audience. It was an evening where our group not only made a debut but also established a deeper connection through the premiere of our documentary, “Entwined in My Roots”.
With pride and a lot of nerves, we took to the stage to perform our official introduction, 'Wong Jowo Ojo Ilang Jawane - Introduction Cover'. The music, deeply rooted in our culture and passion, was received with open arms and overwhelmingly positive reactions. It was a confirmation of gamelan's power to unite people and bridge cultures.
This evening was more than a performance; it was a celebration of togetherness, cultural heritage, and the indelible impact of music on our lives. We are grateful to everyone who was part of this magical evening, from the spectators to the organizers and everyone who showed their support.
As Jiwa Manunggal, we are only at the beginning of our journey. This evening strengthened our conviction that music is a universal language that connects hearts. With renewed passion and dedication, we look forward to what the future holds and how we can share our love for gamelan with even more people.
Stay tuned for more updates and future events. Together, we make the journey forward, intertwined in our roots and united in our dreams.
